Affordable Housing Developer Scales Property Oversight with Streak + Claude
How real estate professionals turn spoken site-visit notes into organized CRM records, right from their phones.

Flat out love it! Our Partner was giddy with excitement when I walked him through our new process for filing notes.

The company
A Streak customer since 2021, this affordable housing firm develops, invests in, operates, and owns properties across the US. Their differentiator is hands-on management: they stay involved in each property’s day-to-day so they catch problems early. This means their real estate team regularly visits each property in person, often traveling to different states every week.
The company has 17 team members working in Streak across 30 different pipelines (or workflows), from fundraising and approvals to insurance. They track over 120 properties in their Properties pipeline alone.
Challenges
Their team deals with a lot of details on every property visit. Keeping that knowledge organized, and in one place the whole team could see, was the hard part.
- Notes stuck on paper: One trip alone could produce 20 pages of handwritten notes that lived in a single notebook.
- No consistent format: Each visit should cover vacant units, rent-ready status, delinquencies, upcoming projects, and wish-list items, but there was no standard way to capture these items.
- Knowledge in silos: What one person learned on a visit stayed with them until they found time to write it up.
- Limited visibility: Partners and asset management leaders had to dig through email threads or ask teammates to see what was happening at each property.
The team needed an organized, consistent way to track every visit, in a place everyone could see and build on.
"We have a lot of different communities that we support, and that just continues to grow. And so frankly, at points, it's hard to keep up with everything."

Streak solution
The team was already managing their real estate portfolio in Streak, with every property tracked as a box in their pipeline. Because Streak lives right inside Gmail, every email about a property is logged to its box automatically, so the whole team shares the same email history. Pipeline tags in the inbox show which property each thread belongs to, and every box keeps notes, tasks, and files together on one shared timeline.
What they needed was a faster, more automated way to keep those boxes current after each site visit. So they connected Streak to Claude via Streak's MCP connector.
This connection lets AI assistants like Claude work directly with Streak to search pipelines, read boxes, change stages, and add notes and tasks. Setup takes just a few clicks from Claude's connector menu. This team revamped their whole site-visit workflow in a single session with a Streak Customer Success Manager.
Here's how it works today:

Hands-free notes from the field
After each visit, team members open a shared Claude Project on their phone and talk through what they saw. No forms, no retyping, and no notes left behind in a notebook.

A built-in visit checklist
With a standardized format set by their team, Claude now organizes every debrief the same way and asks about anything that's missing. When a detail is unclear, Claude asks instead of guessing.
Notes on the right box, every time
Claude searches the Properties pipeline and finds the matching box to add the notes. If the property is new, Claude creates the box. Either way, the note lands in Streak only after the team member approves.

Automatic follow-up tasks
Once the note is on the box, Claude creates follow-up tasks in Streak for anything that needs action, like an HVAC system nearing end of life. Nothing raised on a visit slips through the cracks.
Instant answers for every manager
Managers don't need to dig through the pipeline to stay in the loop. They can ask Claude about a property and get answers straight from Streak, including details from the team's email threads since Streak lives natively in Gmail.

Results
Within weeks, colleagues and managers were logging visits and pulling up property history through Claude.
With Streak, we can just quickly look up plumbing issues or roofing issues and figure out the history based on the email chains of everyone's inboxes. [We can] quickly be brought up to speed, rather than asking someone to go through their emails.
