Careers

We're a small group of engineers dedicated to solving hard problems for email professionals.

Sales Autopilot

We want to do for salespeople what autopilot did for pilots. We will suggest to sales professionals the actions they need to take next to close deals. They'll instead need to monitor our "autopilot" system and manually override only when needed. Unlike most AI startups, we can actually build this - we have 100M+ data points of sales professionals.

G-Suite integration

We're building systems to better understand how organizations communicate with one another. Email is currently siloed into individual user inboxes, we're building a graph database containing every email message in our users' inboxes to give them insights into how their company communicates with their customers.

A versatile CRM

We strive for deep integration with Gmail, because that's where our users live. Our integration has to be seamless, deep, performant, resilient and secure. It's such a hard problem, even our competitors use our tech (InboxSDK). We're doing it next for Inbox, Calendar, and more.

Why working at Streak is awesome

Fantastic culture

Everybody in the company is incredibly friendly and approachable. This kind of developed by accident but now that we have such a supportive and open culture we see the value and benefits, and will fight hard to maintain it.

Product focused

In a space that is sales and marketing driven, we're a good workplace for engineers – we care about process, tools, learning, scaling, testing, deploying fast. We favor building our own tools because we want something better.

World class engineering team

People on our team helped build the first versions of Google’s Cloud Platform, were instrumental in solving Optimizely’s hypergrowth scaling issues, and have been finalists in international security competitions.

High impact

Grow a product that you yourself will be using! We use Streak internally as our CRM to help sell Streak. You'll believe in the product you're working on and will be able to shape its future direction.

We care about engineering

Both of the founders Aleem and Omar are engineers from the University of Waterloo and continue to code to this day. We understand that the true cost of a shortcut hack is spending a week on a seemingly unrelated obscure bug 2 years later.

Backed by the best

We’re well funded by elite investors in Silicon Valley including Y Combinator, Battery Ventures, CrunchFund, Lowercase Capital, and RedPoint.

Our product engineers are full-stack developers who determine where the product will go next by translating customer feedback and requests into reliable, elegant, simple, and usable features. We believe that "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure," so you will be more than an engineer, you will also be the voice of the user during product development. You will develop, test, and use new features before they hit production, and will see (and benefit from) the impact of your work as soon as it is shipped.

Streak is an engineering-focused organization, so we continually invest in improving our tools, tests, processes, and technology. But we know our people are truly our greatest asset. We strive to build a culture where everyone is continually learning and growing. As a member of our small team, you will meaningfully impact all parts of the company, from the direction the company is going, to the products we develop, to the people we hire.

Your day to day will include:

  • Building new features and functionality into our platform.
  • Assessing what to build now, later, and in the future.
  • Refining existing features to make them more reliable, functional, elegant, and easy to use.
  • Launching features (without an overbearing bureaucratic approval process).
  • Getting feedback from your team and your users every single day.
  • Working with and learning from talented colleagues who have solved some of technology's most demanding problems.
  • Developing fun stuff to delight our users. (We've already done a lot of the tedious foundational work).
  • Selecting new colleagues by participating in the hiring process.

We look after our employees:

  • Care for yourself with comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a subsidized gym membership.
  • Take the time you need: you will have generous vacation, sick, and paid family leave, as well as company holidays.
  • Recharge with daily lunches and snacks.
  • Save for your future with a 401(k).
  • Get around town with a pre-tax commuting benefit.
  • Take care of the tedious things with a monthly convenience credit.
  • Bond with the team through off-sites, monthly happy hours and team events.
  • Continue your professional development with an education credit.

We are excited about you if:

  • You've shipped new features on a production app, especially if you've used modern JavaScript technologies like React, Vue, Angular, etc.
  • You have worked on an engineering team in a professional setting for 3 or more years.
  • You are passionate about shipping features to users.
  • You love working with a team to accomplish difficult tasks and do what it takes to help that team achieve its potential.
  • You live in the SF Bay Area or are willing to relocate here.

It would be phenomenal if:

  • You enjoy mentoring and blogging to share your wins, failures, and insights.
  • You want to work with multi-functional teams to own the development of new features from ideation to production.
